The Loose cannon is a new Poker club, having opened in February 2007 and is currently holding tournaments Mondays to Fridays.

The club was established by Roy Houghton who ran the first UK Poker Tournament and created at least two new Poker formats.  With the vision of having the best game playing conditions in the UK, they certainly come close.  There's a swish members lounge and a great bar which attracts drinking only customers from the city as well.  The venue holds up to 450 people which creates a great atmosphere and there is a Salle Privée for those wanting to get away from the large gaming area.

Tournaments, changing each day include Hold 'Em Pot Freezout, Hold 'Em / Omaha Pot Limit Rebuy, Bounty Hold 'Em No Limit Freezout and also Kalooki and Backgammon.

A small quarterly membership fee applies but this entitles members to no rake cash games, ensuring the club is well placed on the correct side of the law.  Membership to this private club must be applied for at least 48 hours before arrival and can be done at the club or online.
