Review
Since opening in January 2004, the Gutshot Poker Club bar and restaurant now has now become one of the most successful card rooms in the country with over 5000 members.
Based in the Powerhouse Sporting club the club also provides a coffee room, internet cafe, function room and wide screen TV showing pay per view sporting events. As well as poker the club also hosts many indoor games including Bridge games, Whist, Backgammon, Pool, Kalooki and Jenga. They also organise a fishing and travel club.
This London poker club has hosted several high profile poker tournaments including the first ever Showdown Poker Tour and the 2006 World Series of Poker. In 2005 Tiffany Williamson famously came 15th place in the World Series Main Event here and turned her £20 into $400,000.
The bar has a wide range of beers, wines and spirits and offers a relaxed casual atmosphere. Meanwhile, you can fill your boots the restaurant until 2:30am where the all day breakfast won't disappoint and the burgers come highly recommended.
The Gutshot is open 7 days a week and tournaments are held daily starting 2pm and 8pm. There is a wide range of buy ins, up to £300, but the average is around £30. Cash games continue until 6am.
This is a private club, so new members must be proposed and seconded by an existing member but there is no charge. Existing members are allowed to sign in up to 4 guests.
